Events Centre
Our new Events Centre is purpose built for young people to connect and create.
It provides a flexible easy to use and low cost central city venue for young people and organisations supporting them to express themselves and take part in a wide range of activities from music and dance, to drama to circus arts.
As long as your event or activity is by, for or about young people, you're welcome to hire the space.
Opening Hours
The Events Centre is available for hire from 9am to 9.30pm, seven days a week for events of up to 40 people.
We can also accommodate larger events for up to 200 people on a limited number of occasions each year.
Regular and re-occuring bookings are welcome!

Pricing
The Events Centre basic hire cost is $50 an hour + GST. Thanks to funding from the NZ Lottery Grants Board we have some FREE hours available. Please get in touch to see if you're eligible.

Restricted Activities

The space is designed to be multi-purpose however there are some activities that are not suitable for the space

Due to risk of damage to walls and equipment ball sports are not permitted

Alcohol is not permitted at any event or anywhere on the Youth Hub premises

Stilettos should not be worn in the space

To avoid potential damage to the floor, sharp objects should not be used.

Limited 60 minute parking is available at the 109 Salisbury Street entrance to the Hub
