Concrete poured for supported housing block

    By Rachael Cox | Youth Hub Development | 0 comment | 2 May, 2023 | 0
Today was a big day for us with the concrete poured for our supported housing block!
Once complete, the supported housing wing will provide 22 bedrooms for young people aged 16-24 for up to 18 months, provided they are actively looking for education, training or work.
Once these rangatahi have established regular income with the support of supervision and training available on site, they will be able to transition into rental housing of their own.
Tenants will be assisted with their health and wellbeing, employment, catch-up education, and support needs. There will also be opportunities for creativity, recreation and learning new skills like cooking and growing vegetables.
